- Even before she started school in a small town near Houston, Texas, Becky Hicks Roesler
had a passion for nature and art. With a mother who was an artist and a father who was
an author, Becky grew up in an environment that encouraged creative thinking and
- By 16, she finished high school and began studying art through the Houston Museum of Fine
Art and various college libraries.
Becky worked her way through college as a floral designer while continuing her independent
study of art. She earned a bachelor's degree from Southwest Texas State University in 1982,
- then enjoyed a successful career in corporate management. In 1999, illness left her unable
2002 her life was devoted to art full-time.
Today, Becky is an award-winning, working artist who enjoys creating lush, colorful paintings
in both pastels and oil paint. Her art is exhibited in many national art shows, in select galleries,
and on the Internet. Becky Hicks Roesler lives near New Braunfels, Texas on the river's edge,
surrounded by her gardens and wildlife.
